November 6th, 2017 – Thrive Group is proud to announce that we have been certified as a GREAT WORKPLACE after a thorough and independent analysis conducted by Great Place to Work® Canada. This certification is based on direct feedback from employees, provided as part of an extensive and anonymous survey about the workplace experience.
Since its inception in early 2013, the Thrive Group of organizations, which includes St. Peter’s Long-Term Care Residence at Chedoke and AbleLiving Services, has been committed to building an organizational culture founded on six guiding principles: Teamwork, Honesty, Respect, Innovation, Versatility and Excellence. This solid foundation, coupled with its clarity of Vision and Mission, has been instrumental in creating a productive, collaborative and inspiring work environment for over 650 employees.
CEO Steve Sherrer believes that the strength of the organization lies in the passion of its people for the work that they do. “If you want to build an organizational culture based on honesty, trust and transparency, you must get to know your employees as people. You must work shoulder to shoulder with them every day. Laugh with them when they are happy and cry with them when they are sad. You must make every person feel valued for the contribution that they make and help them to be the best that they can be. There is no other way to lead.”
